Adding Email Mailboxes and Aliases/Forwards

To add/edit a mailbox:
  • Login to the control panel
  • Click on Services -> My Services
  • Click in the bar for the hosting package you wish to edit the email settings for (but do not click the domain name link itself)
  • Scroll down and click on E-mail Accounts
  • Click the Add new user button or the Edit or Delete icons next to an existing account as appropriate
  • When adding a new user, be sure to check the "Add quota?" box to set the size of the mailbox, otherwise a basic default size (50MB) will be applied

To add an email alias/forward:

  • Login to the control panel
  • Click on Services -> My Services
  • Click in the bar for the hosting package you wish to edit the email settings for (but do not click the domain name link itself)
  • Scroll down and click on E-mail Aliases
If you wish to have email forwarded on an email address that you have configured as a mailbox, you would do this via the mailbox settings:
  • Go to the mailbox as described in the "add/edit a mailbox" section above
  • Click the Edit icon
  • Check the E-mail Forward option box
  • Enter the destination(s) you wish to forward one email address per line
  • Optionally check the "E-mail forward and store" box:
    • If you do not check this, email will be forwarded to the email addresses provided and NOT stored in the mailbox you're editing
    • If you DO check this, email will be forwarded to the email addresses provided and a copy will be stored in the mailbox at Ecological Hosting
